On This Day
In 1980, The Rolling Stones continued their reign at the top of the US Billboard 200 as their studio album Emotional Rescue held the number-one spot. Blending the band’s signature blues-rock foundation with reggae grooves and danceable disco elements, the record’s commercial triumph kept the group firmly at the summit of the American album charts.
