On This Day
A masterclass in quirky pop-rock took over British airwaves in 1978 as art-rock outfit 10cc reached number one on the UK singles chart with Dreadlock Holiday. Written by Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman and inspired by a trip to the Caribbean, the reggae-infused satire provided the group with their third and final British chart-topper.
