On This Day
The mighty engine room of Led Zeppelin was silenced forever in 1980 by the shocking passing of drummer John Bonham at the age of thirty-two. Renowned for his thunderous kick drum, peerless sense of groove, and unmatched dynamic power, Bonham’s loss dealt a fatal blow to the band, leading his surviving bandmates to permanently disband the group rather than attempt to replace him.
